Bergen, 8 September 2023: Mediability AS has successfully acquired Nordlys Broadcast Limited, marking a strategic step towards leadership in the EMEA software systems integrator landscape.

Post-acquisition, Mediability will proudly boast expert delivery capability in key regions and cities across EMEA, including London, Dubai, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, and Bergen. This move also amplifies its expertise and service capabilities.

Previously managing the Media & Entertainment division of Diversified in EMEA and more recently at the helm of Nordlys Broadcast, Andrew Davies will now lead Mediability as its Group CEO. Davies emphasizes the company’s focus on innovating within the Media and Entertainment sector: “Harnessing the potential of software-as-a-service, cloud, IP, and AI, we’re shaping the future of broadcast software integration for the industry, all while retaining our prowess in traditional projects.”

As a vendor-independent systems integrator, Mediability is uniquely positioned to offer unparalleled solutions to its international clients across the Media and Entertainment industry.

Additional leadership appointments include Ole Johan Skogheim as Group CTO and Nils Olav Sundsteigen as Group CCO and CEO of Mediability Scandinavia.

Commenting on the merger, Sundsteigen said, “From broadcasting to the corporate sector, and even into education and government, Mediability has consistently broadened its horizons. We intend to replicate our multifaceted Scandinavian success on the international stage.”

Being a pivotal entity under the Fonn Group, a prominent Norwegian technology conglomerate, Mediability has been a beacon investment since 2016. Haavard Myklebust, Mediability’s chairman, observes, “As the media landscape consolidates, the industry leans towards more robust companies. Through this acquisition, we’re addressing this very need.”
