Compact and lightweight design of AG-CX370 delivers class-leading IP-based solution for video production, broadcasting and streaming.
Bracknell, UK. 24th March 2025 – Panasonic Connect’s AG-CX370 camcorder takes high-quality video production to new levels for broadcasting and streaming professionals. The latest addition to Panasonic’s CX series of popular professional camcorders, the CX370 features stunning 4K image quality and IP-based live production capabilities – all within a compact and lightweight chassis design that enhances mobility. Launching in Q2 CY2025, the CX370 will be showcased at the NAB Show in Las Vegas from 6th-9th April 2025.
High-quality 4K live video production
The CX370 delivers 4K/60p/10-bit MOV recording with a high-efficiency HEVC/H.265 codec. It also features a high-definition, high-sensitivity 1.0-type 15M MOS sensor, and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) for HDR recording – making it perfect for live broadcast environments and creating content for social media platforms. The CX370 features broadcast-quality image tuning, with 16-axis independent colour correction.
Advanced IP-based live production capabilities
The high-end CX370 features built-in NDI®* HX2 IP connectivity for IP-based transmissions and camera control. When connected to NDI®-compatible devices, such as switchers and decoders, NDI® HX2 delivers smooth, high-quality IP-based live video production[1]. The CX370 supports 4K direct streaming via the RTMP, RTMPS, and RTSP protocols – and the next-generation, IP-based SRT protocols.
When compared to predecessor CX Series camcorders, the CX370 now supports the 12G-SDI output, enabling high-quality, low-latency uncompressed 4K video to be streamed to professional broadcast equipment. The CX370 also supports simultaneous 4K output via SDI-HDMI outputs.
Wide angle zoom lens for broadcast-quality shooting
The CX370 offers superior optical performance thanks to its powerful 24.5mm (35mm equivalent) wide-angle zoom lens, with 20x optical zoom. It features high-precision auto-focus technology with face detection, auto-tracking, and five-axis hybrid image stabilisation. This detects and corrects any unwanted camera shaking, making the CX370 perfect for the stable shooting and tracking of moving subjects.
Enhanced mobility and interoperability
The CX370’s ease-of-use for production, broadcast and live streaming professionals sets it apart. Unlike the CX350 model, the camera features two balanced XLR inputs and a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack input. This enables support for up to four external microphones or line-level audio for 4-channel 24-bit LPCM audio recording.
In addition to the CX370’s compatibility with the AVC-ULTRA (P2 MXF) format[2], the camera supports the File Transfer Protocol[3], enabling recorded clips to be shared with broadcasters via a wired network, Wi-Fi (AJ-WM50E optional) or USB tethering through a mobile phone. This streamlines production workflows and drastically reduces the time required to air content.
The newly integrated GENLOCK input terminal delivers broadcast-quality synchronisation in multi-camera environments, whilst visuals can be simultaneously displayed across multiple high-definition LCD displays and viewfinders. Focus and zoom settings can also be easily adjusted through wired remote control, or through IP-based networks over a LAN connection.
“Panasonic’s CX Series has long set the standard for high-performance, handheld camcorders within professional video production and broadcasting. In the CX370, we’ve listened to the needs of our CX350 users, who were looking for additional functionality and mobility, regardless of whether they were on-location or in the studio,” says Andre Meterian, Director of Professional Video Systems for Panasonic Connect Europe. “The CX370 is therefore a natural next step in consolidating our market-leading position in delivering 4K-ready camcorders that enable professionals to seamlessly shoot and stream video over IP-based networks.”
*NDI® is a video connectivity technology and is registered as a trademark by Vizrt NDI AB in the United States and other countries.
