Ghent, Belgium, 6th March 2025 – With the Media and Production Technology Show (MPTS) in London approaching, Limecraft is pleased to announce the third in a series of eight major platform released planned for this year. This 2025.3 extends Delivery Workspaces by bulk updates of Deliverables and allows users to provide general comments on Deliverables that have no assets linked to it yet. Also, we are now providing support for graphic content, and we have upgrade the usage dashboard for enterprise customers.
1. Extending Delivery Workspaces
Delivery Workspaces are designed to streamline the process of content intake for broadcasters and streaming companies. As of this 2025.3 release, we are further improving the usability and the level of automation, by allowing media operators to allow actions on a selection of multiple deliverables at the same time. These may include updating Assignees or Due Dates, archiving or restoring from archive, locking or unlocking, and adding comments.
1.1 Locking and Unlocking Deliverables
This release introduces the concept of locking deliverables. Deliverables can be locked by the receiver end of the supply chain, usually the broadcaster, to prevent further updates of metadata or ancillary media. After being locked, deliverables van be unlocked again by team members with specific permission.
1.2 Archiving and Unarchiving Deliverables
Similarily, deliverables can be archived and restored. Archived deliverables will not be accessible anymore by the supplier end of the supply chain, usually a producer or a third party. This is important to ensure the usability of large collections. After bring archived, deliverables can be restored again by team members with specific permission.
1.3 Commenting on Deliverables
As of this release, extending the scope of the collaboration, users with sufficient permissions can not only add comments to specific submissions but as well on the more general level of the Deliverable, even before any media assets have been supplied.
1.4 Bulk Operations on Deliverables
Lastly, for the sake of efficiency, all of the above and including manipulation of assignees and due dates, can be modified on multiple items at the same time with a single button click.
2. Managing Graphic Content
As some of customers are managing collections of graphic content that may be very disturbing to people day to day accessing it, we enabled the ability to flag content as such. As a result of this, the thumbnail is replaced by a warning clearly indicating the nature of the content.
Protection from graphic content is running as a background workflow, and a great example of the low-code workflow engine that is being brought to life step by step. 3. Usage Insights (Private Beta)
As part of our continued effort to enable transparency and accountability, we have upgraded the usage dashboards. These dashboards are currently rolled out on a case by case basis to customers running an Enterprise plan.
