Berchtesgaden, Germany (FIL)  and Melville, NY, USA (Chyron) — October 22, 2024  — The International Luge Federation (FIL) is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Chyron, a global graphics technology and service provider. Starting with the 2024/2025 pre-Olympic winter season, Chyron will serve as the official graphics provider for live broadcasts of FIL competitions. This collaboration is set to elevate the visual experience of luge broadcasts to unprecedented heights.

To emphasize the significance of this partnership, FIL secretary general Dwight Bell states, “We are excited about this coming season as we will be racing across 3 continents, including Europe, North America and Asia. Importantly, athletes will start the qualification process for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milano-Cortina, Italy. Given that Chyron provides state-of-art cutting edge graphics, which aligns perfectly with our goal of providing our viewers with an elevated experience, it made sense to associate our brands together.”

Since the 2023/2024 season, Chyron has been integral to FIL’s live sports production success, specifically in the realm of TV graphics. FIL launched an ambitious effort with Chyron to revamp its entire graphics offering, including the base graphics package, but introducing new and dynamic graphics that were informative and entertaining to our viewers. With their presence at every EBERSPAECHER World Cup and FIL Championship event, Chyron’s dedicated team has consistently enhanced the quality of the broadcast graphics and in-depth analysis.
