4DViews (www.4Dviews.com), a leading developer of volumetric video capture systems, will demonstrate the latest version of its Holosys+ system at NAB in Las Vegas, from April 6-8. Richard Broadbridge, CEO of 4DViews, will be on-site and is available for meetings.
4Dviews recently worked with French broadcaster TF1 on a series of documentaries that reached audiences in new ways.
Working with Yani Khezzar, a renowned French journalist, the 4Dviews ecosystem filmed Yani at Studio Extensible in Paris for various sequences, morphed together in 4Dfx (the 4Dviews volumetric video editing tool), and placed his hologram in custom 3D environments made in Unity.
The work spanned three TV documentaries on climate change and one historical documentary on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, blending modern technology with traditional network television newscasts.
Viewed by more than 5.3 million people in France, the three-person team from TF1 used engaging visuals from volumetric video, placing Yani in the story; bridging the gap between archival footage and modern immersive storytelling.
